No Longer Rigid.

The first moment you experience at KunstRAI is not about art.
It’s about contrast.

The cool neutrality of concrete, glass, steel…
and then, something entirely different interrupts.

A saturated presence breaking through a restrained environment.

The installation was conceived in direct dialogue with the architecture of RAI: a space defined by it’s neutrality, lines and clarity.

Concrete absorbs.
Flowers draw attention.

Where the building holds everything in control,
the installation introduces unpredictability.

Designing the performance

Over 2,000 flowers went into the piece — enough of a single, consistent material to let the whole structure read as one continuous surface rather than a collection of parts. That consistency is what makes the volume hold as a single gesture and the cascade behave like one falling motion instead of many stems.
